Masks are objectes used to cover your face and it has different puropses, such as: entrteiment, protection, religion, expressions, etc. 

The word masks has many origins. One is that they are called maks because it comes from the french word masque, which means to cover or hide face. Another would be from the Italian word maschera, which means mask,specter or nightmare. It may also come from the Arabic word maskhara, which means buffoon.
